Lindt offers you a recipe for chocolate onion compote, an original and easy idea that should delight the taste buds of the most greedy.
Preparation time : 5 min
Cooking time : 15 min
Ingredients for approx. 300g of compote:
- 3 onions
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 30 g semi-salted butter
- 50 g sugar
- 8 squares of Lindt Universal chocolate
Chocolate onion compote recipe
- Finely chop the onions
- Put the oil and butter in a saucepan over low heat
- Add the onions and blanch them, stirring often so as not to burn them, for 10 min
- Then add the sugar and continue to cook for 5 minutes
- Remove from the heat and gently add the squares of chocolate while mixing
- Warning: onions must not burn: stir constantly
